Let’s start with the basics: The 2021 Traverse is a three-row SUV that can seat either seven or eight people, depending on whether you choose the second-row bench seat or captain’s chairs. Tall adults will fit with room to spare in the first and second rows, which sport 41 inches and 38.4 inches of legroom, respectively.

Even the third row—with 33.5 inches of legroom—can accommodate adults comfortably in a pinch (and the kids can take those seats without a problem). The Smart Slide® Seating in the second row gives you convenient and easy access to the third row—just slide them forward when you need to climb in or out!

Behind the third row of seats is 24.77 cubic feet of cargo space, which is plenty for a cooler and some picnic supplies, or even up to five suitcases for a trip out of town. There’s a generously sized underfloor compartment that can hold a backpack or carry-on bag, and you can fold down the second- and third-row seats for more space.

If you need all the space in your Chevy Traverse, you can lower the second- and third-row seats. This is a great feature if you’re moving or picking up some new furniture. The total cargo space in the Traverse is an impressive 89.75 cubic feet.

CHEVROLET INFOTAINMENT

Chevy has always been at the forefront of easy-to-use technology, and it really shows in the 2021 Traverse. The Chevrolet Infotainment System comes standard, complete with a sleek 7-inch diagonal color touchscreen, as well as Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility.

What does that mean for you? No matter which Traverse trim level you choose, you can pair up a compatible iPhone® or Android™ device with your car and access all your favorite apps on the touchscreen. From your music to your SMS messages, it’s all right at your fingertips!

You can upgrade to add navigation so that you can arrive on time to your next destination with voice-guided directions showing you the way. The touchscreen even grows to 8 inches, giving you that much more space to see directions.

While you’re driving, it can be a challenge to plug your phone in and untangle wires. The Traverse has an available wireless phone charger located in the front center console to save you the energy. Just place your phone in the console and let it charge away.

If you love to pump on the volume of your favorite songs and feel as if you’re surrounded by music, opt for the available Bose® premium audio system. The Bose® premium audio system supplies ten speakers and provides precise acoustic reproduction, so your music sounds as good as it can.

CONVENIENT FEATURES

CONVENIENT FEATURES

The myChevrolet Mobile App aids in keeping you up to date on your car’s needs. Through the app, you can check your car’s system to see when your Traverse needs an oil change. If you need a routine maintenance appointment, you can schedule one right from the app.

You don’t have to worry about running out of gas, thanks to the myChevrolet Mobile App, where you can monitor fuel levels right from your phone.

When parking in crowded parking lots, the myChevrolet Mobile App has your back. It saves your parking location so you can easily locate your Traverse when you are ready to return to it.

Never forget a grocery bag in the back seat again with the Rear Seat Reminder. When a second-row door is opened and closed before you begin your drive, the Rear Seat Reminder will alert you once you have arrived at your destination.

Do you need to stay connected while you’re on a road trip, or just running daily errands? The Traverse offers available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability.

The Traverse even includes a hidden storage compartment to keep valuables safe while you’re on the road. Hide some small valuables behind the 8-inch diagonal infotainment system—or larger items in the rear cargo floor compartment.

Chevy Traverse Safety Features

Safety Features

Safety is key, and the Chevy Traverse offers many available features to ensure you and your passengers are protected. You can change lanes with confidence, thanks to the available Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert notifying you of vehicles in your blind zones.

The Chevy Traverse is designed to prevent any potential collisions, and the available Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning does just that. If you drift from your lane without using your turn signal, this system will alert you and provide gentle steering back to your designated lane.

Available Forward Collision Alert detects potential frontal collisions to help you avoid them. When this technology is combined with Forward Automatic Braking, your Chevy Traverse can even stop itself in its tracks.

Parallel parking has never been easier with available Rear Park Assist. This technology will monitor stationary objects when you are in reverse—and will warn you if you get too close.

If you’re sharing your Traverse with your teen driver, you can enjoy peace of mind with Teen Driver technology to mute the audio and remind the driver to buckle up. It can also automatically turn on the available advanced safety technologies, and provide an in-vehicle report card to monitor your new driver’s habits.
