Interior Dimensions
The Chevy Silverado offers three comfortable cab sizes. The Regular Cab features one row of seats and a long truck bed. Inside, you’ll be able to kick back and relax with 44.5 inches of legroom.
The Double Cab gives you a second row of seats. It gives your passengers 35.2 inches of legroom. There’s also enough space for three people to sit together with 64.9 inches of rear shoulder room.
The third and final option is the Crew Cab. It lets your passengers stretch out with 43.4 inches of legroom. It’s also slightly wider with 65.2 inches of shoulder room. The Crew Cab offers some extra storage space, too. With a hidden compartment under the back seats, you can keep tools, valuables, or extra supplies close by.
Exterior Measurements
With three cabs and three truck beds to choose from, the Silverado is available in a few different shapes and sizes.
For example, the Regular Cab measures 229.5 inches long and features a 139.6-inch wheelbase. It also stands 75.6 inches high and features an 8.22-inch ground clearance.
The Double Cab is a little longer at 231.7 inches with a 147.5-inch wheelbase. All-wheel drive gives it a ground clearance of 8.08 inches and an overall height of 78.5 inches.
The Crew Cab is available with either a Short Bed or a Standard Bed. The Short Bed makes it measure out to 231.7 inches long, but the Standard Bed extends the frame to 241.2 inches. This gives it a 157.1-inch wheelbase. The Crew Cab can also drive over rocky terrain with a 10.88-inch ground clearance.
Truck Bed & Cargo Volume
The Long Bed comes standard on the Chevy Silverado 1500’s Regular Cab. There’s 89.1 cubic feet of cargo room in the truck bed, plus it can carry a payload of up to 2,250 pounds.
The Double Cab comes with the Standard Bed. It can carry up to 2,190 pounds and features 71.7 cubic feet of cargo room. The Standard Bed is also available on the Crew Cab. It features the same storage space but can handle a payload of up to 2,130 pounds.
The Crew Cab is also available with the Short Bed. It has a maximum payload capacity of 2,180 pounds and a cargo volume of 62.9 cubic feet.
