Extended Limited Warranty Chevrolet Extended Limited Warranty

The Chevrolet Extended Limited Warranty* allows additional assurance for your Chevrolet, so you can feel confident when you set out for new adventures down the road.  

 

When you purchase a new Chevy, you automatically receive a 3-year/36,000-mile, whichever comes first, Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty. Now, you have the option to choose the longer Extended Limited Warranty, with coverage for 5 years/60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Ask us for details.

 

An industry first, the Chevy Extended Limited Warranty is backed by General Motors. This innovative warranty is fully transferable, providing an added benefit should you sell your vehicle. It also allows the added ease of rolling the expense into the overall vehicle payment. 

 

Both the Chevrolet Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty and the Chevrolet Extended Limited Warranty have no deductible coverage. The entire vehicle is warranted for repairs, including parts and labor, to correct defects in materials or workmanship, excluding routine maintenance. Needed repairs will be performed using new, remanufactured, or refurbished parts.

Additional coverage on top of your manufacturer’s warranty.

Protecting yourself from potentially expensive covered repair costs doesn’t have to be complicated. The Chevrolet Protection Plan is easy to purchase. Simply choose the coverage that’s right for you, Silver or Platinum, along with your deductible and contract term.

 

The Chevrolet Protection Plan comes with extras in addition to coverage for approved repairs, including lost key and lockout, trip interruption, towing and road service, and rental car payment or reimbursement.

 

If a covered breakdown occurs, you’ll also have access to the Certified Service technicians found at any one of the 4,000+ GM dealerships nationwide. These technicians are specially trained to work on GM vehicles. They can even use the same quality parts as those used when your car was built.

VALUABLE BENEFITS

RENTAL CAR COVERAGE (FOR COVERED BREAKDOWNS)

Need to rent a vehicle while yours is being repaired? No problem. The plan will pay for or reimburse you for receipted expenses to rent a replacement vehicle or for alternate public transportation expenses while your vehicle is being repaired (up to $40 per day/maximum of $280 for each repair visit).

TOWING & ROAD SERVICE

If your vehicle is disabled, the plan will cover your towing or road service charges, up to $150 per occurrence. 

TRIP INTERRUPTION

If your Chevrolet experiences a covered breakdown more than 100 miles from your home and a repair facility needs to keep it overnight, the plan will reimburse you up to $200 a day for receipted hotel and restaurant expenses, for up to 4 days or a total of $800 per occurrence.

LOST KEY & LOCKOUT

If your keys are lost, broken, or if you accidentally lock yourself out of your vehicle, the plan will reimburse you for receipted expenses, up to a maximum of $35, for locksmith services.

TRANSFERABLE

If you decide to sell your vehicle, your coverage can easily be transferred to the new owner, upon payment of any applicable transfer fee and completion of paperwork.

CANCELLATION

You may cancel your contract at any time, including when you sell the vehicle or if loss of vehicle occurs. If the contract is canceled within 60 days and no claims were filed, you will receive a full refund. If the contract is canceled after 60 days or if a claim was filed, you will receive a pro rata refund less claims paid (where permissible) and any applicable cancellation fee.

ONE-TIME DEDUCTIBLE ELIGIBILITY

You can choose the deductible that is right for you. Once a covered part is repaired or replaced, the deductible for future repair or replacement of the same part is waived.

PLATINUM WRAP COVERAGE

Available in addition to the Platinum coverage of the Chevrolet Protection Plan, the Chevrolet Platinum Wrap Coverage is a Vehicle Service Contract that provides exclusionary coverage. This means the plan will pay or reimburse you for approved costs to repair or replace any covered breakdown of all parts, except for those parts that the manufacturer covers during its warranty term (full or certified), and except for those items listed in the Exclusions section of the Vehicle Service Contract. It’s coverage for your peace of mind.

 

Platinum Wrap Coverage begins on the contract purchase date. The term for the Platinum Wrap Coverage will be based on your vehicle’s make and is only eligible for purchase during the vehicle’s Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty period. Ask your Chevrolet dealer for coverage details.

 

PLATINUM COVERAGE

With Platinum Protection, you’ll have our most comprehensive coverage for your Chevrolet. Platinum Protection is one of the best way to help ensure that you are protected against potentially expensive covered repairs.

 

In the event of a covered breakdown, even when it is the result of normal wear and tear, you’re protected. The Platinum Protection Plan is an exclusionary coverage. That means that everything is covered on your Chevrolet unless it is in the Exclusions section of the Vehicle Service Contract.

Gap Coverage Gap Coverage

GAP Coverage gives you confidence when you purchase a new or used or lease a Chevrolet vehicle. If you have an accident and your vehicle is considered a total loss, most standard insurance policies will pay only the current market value of your vehicle, not for what is owed or the deductible. This can leave you responsible for the difference. GAP Coverage can help cover this difference. See the Gap Addendum for coverage limitations. GAP coverage is not available in NY.

  • GAP Coverage waives the deficiency amount between your Chevrolet’s unpaid finance balance and the settlement amount offered by your insurer for a total loss.
  • GAP Coverage is only available at the time of vehicle purchase or lease.
  • GAP Coverage is available for your new, used, or leased Chevrolet.

Appearance Guard APPEARANCE GUARD

Looking good means feeling good.

When mishaps happen, the Chevrolet Appearance Guard Plan is here to help take care of them. Get protection for covered exterior dents and dings, as well as covered rips, tears, burns, and cuts to interior fabric and lost or damaged key/key fob, so your Chevrolet will look like new.

What’s Covered:

PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR

Minor dents and dings smaller than 4" in diameter on exterior body panels are covered, with unlimited covered repairs for the duration of the plan.

WINDSHIELD REPAIR

Minor chips or cracks up to 4" in length in the front windshield caused by a covered road hazard will be repaired.

INTERIOR FABRIC REPAIR

The repair of covered damage such as burns, cuts, rips, or tears smaller than 2" in diameter in your vehicle’s seats, upholstery, or carpet.

KEY/KEY FOB

If your key/key fob is lost, stolen, or damaged, the Appearance Guard Plan will cover the replacement cost of a new key/key fob, up to $400, for any continuous 12-month period. A 60-day waiting period applies to this benefit. Benefits are available when two keys/key fobs are provided at the time of sale.

 

Advanced Lease Protection Advanced Lease Protection

With Chevrolet Advanced Lease Protection, you can feel safeguarded against the costs of covered repairs that can unexpectedly occur during your lease. It’s coverage that provides additional services and protection during the manufacturer’s warranty, plus coverage after the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

 

There is no deductible required to obtain coverage under the Service Contract. Coverage begins on the contract purchase date and will expire according to the time and/or mileage selected, whichever occurs first, as shown on the Registration Page, and/or when the Limits of Liability for the Contract have been reached.

BREAKDOWN COVERAGE

The Plan will pay for or reimburse approved costs to repair or replace any breakdown of any covered part except as listed in the Exclusions and Limitations section of the Service Contract.

BRAKE PAD COVERAGE

Replacement of one set of front and rear brake pads/shoes during the term of the Service Contract.

BATTERY COVERAGE

Replacement of one battery, not to exceed the difference between the manufacturer’s prorated replacement reimbursement amount and the cost of a like-kind and -quality battery during the term of the Service Contract.

HEADLAMP BULB COVERAGE

Unlimited replacement of headlamp bulbs (damage as a result of collision is not covered) during the term of the Service Contract.

BELTS & HOSES

Unlimited replacement of the engine belts and hoses, specifically the vacuum pump belt, serpentine belt, power steering belt, alternator belt, supercharger belt, air pump belt, air conditioner belt, water pump belt, heater hose, bypass hose, throttle body hose, upper and lower radiator hoses, air conditioning hose, power steering pressure and return hose, air hose, washer hoses, vacuum hoses, and fuel hoses during the term of the Service Contract.

WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE COVERAGE

Replacement of one set of windshield wiper blades and/or inserts during the term of this Service Contract.

ELECTRICAL COVERAGE

Unlimited replacement of fuses and interior and exterior lightbulbs, specifically the turn-signal bulbs, engine compartment lights, running lights, fog lights, brake lights, backup lights, license plate lights, parking lights, trunk light, dome light, courtesy light, visor light, map light, and glove box light (damage as a result of collision is not covered) during the term of the Service Contract.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT COVERAGE

Covers one wheel alignment during the term of the Service Contract.

DIAGNOSTICS COVERAGE**

Reasonable, necessary, and customary diagnostic charges incurred in conjunction with a covered repair, not to exceed the labor time listed in a nationally recognized labor time guide.

 

**Diagnostic time will not be paid for those conditions in which the proper repair is readily apparent to the normal senses of sight, touch, smell and/or sound.

FLUID COVERAGE

Replacement of necessary fluids, oils, greases, lubricants, and approved air-conditioning (A/C) gases that must be replaced in conjunction with a covered repair. This coverage does not apply to shop supplies.

RELATED DAMAGE COVERAGE

Replacement of brake pads, belts and hoses that are damaged and require replacement as a direct result of a covered breakdown. Coverage includes disc brake rotor and brake drum resurfacing required as a direct result of a covered breakdown.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • $0 deductible 
  • Coverage up to $5,000 in total charges if the vehicle is driven fewer than an average of 25,000 miles per year 
  • Coverage up to $2,500 in total charges if the vehicle is driven more than an average of 25,000 miles per year 
  • Charges waived up to $1,000 for excess wear damage caused by a single incident or event 

 

COVERED UNDER THE PLAN*

  • Dents, scratches, and chipped paint (hail damage or punctures on any panel; one dent or two scratches of more than 4" per panel)
  • Permanent interior stains; burn holes larger than 1/4"; tears larger than 1/2"
  • Chipped or cracked glass greater than 1/2" in diameter or spider cracks
  • Tires with 3/32" tread or less, and Original Manufacturer wheels
  • Missing parts, Owner’s Manual, or keys, if charges are less than $150 per item
  • Excess mileage charges up to $400
  • *If the damages caused by a single incident or event are less than $1,000.

TWO PLANS TO CHOOSE FROM

Purchasing a Chevrolet Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan includes oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs. 

 

Purchasing the optional Chevrolet Pre-Paid Maintenance Plus includes a set of manufacturer’s recommended maintenance. Such coverage may include air filters, cabin air filters, transmission and fluid changes, and spark plugs.
