Under the Hood of the 2020 Chevy Malibu
Sleek and sophisticated, the 2020 Chevy Malibu has everything you need for a great drive through town. It gives you two engines to pick from, depending on what you want from your sedan.
1.5T
If you want something highly drivable that still gives an exciting kick to your daily commutes, then you’ll probably want the 1.5L turbo I4 engine. This produces 163 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. It’s also paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that can harness all that power while still maximizing efficiency.
2.0T
For even more of a thrill, consider the available 2.0L turbocharged I4 engine. It generates 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This one comes paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission with overdrive to help you stay efficient during highway cruising.
Speaking of efficiency, the 2020 Malibu gets an EPA-estimated 29 city/36 highway MPG with the 1.5T engine and an EPA-estimated 22 city/32 highway MPG with the 2.0T engine.

Interior Specs
Inside the cabin of the Chevy Malibu, you’ll find that you have more than enough space to keep everyone comfortable. It seats five passengers in total, including the driver and has 102.5 cubic feet of total passenger volume.
This includes 38.1 inches of legroom for rear-seat passengers and 39.1 inches of headroom for the driver.
It also has a particularly spacious trunk, which can accommodate 15.7 cubic feet of cargo. This is more than enough room for sporting equipment, groceries, luggage, or anything else you may want to bring along for the ride.
If you want to let in even more sunlight or feel the summer breeze through your hair, you can include the available power tilt-sliding sunroof.

Malibu Technology
The 2020 Malibu offers many ways to stay informed, connected, and entertained when you hit the road. For example, it has an available Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system. This includes a navigation system and an 8-inch diagonal HD color touchscreen display.
It’s compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ and also has enhanced voice recognition and Bluetooth® wireless connectivity.
You can really rock out during your road trip sing-alongs as well, thanks to the available Bose® premium 9-speaker audio system that creates a surround-sound experience.
If you’re heading out on the open road for a cross-country road trip, or even just heading over the river and through the woods on your way to visit Grandma with the kids, the available Adaptive Cruise Control system can help reduce fatigue along the way.
This system automatically adjusts your cruise control speed to go with the flow of traffic when you approach slower-moving cars on the highway. This way, you don’t have to continuously reset your cruising speed.
