Engine Options

The 2019 Chevy Cruze has two different engine options from which you can choose your ideal equipment. While the 1.4L Turbo ECOTEC® 4-Cylinder is the standard engine, you also have the option of outfitting your Cruze with a 1.6L turbo-diesel ECOTEC® engine. Both engines offer impressive efficiency and power.

The 2019 Chevy Malibu gives drivers three different engine choices, but the standard engine is a 1.5L Turbo 4-Cylinder. Additionally, you have the option of outfitting your Malibu with a 1.8L Hybrid engine or a 2.0L Turbo 4-Cylinder engine. With any of these three engine choices, your vehicle will have more than enough power to keep up with the flow of traffic on the highway.

Malibu vs. Cruze Interior Room and Cargo Space

The Cruze interior has plenty of room, despite its compact classification. In the front seat, you’ll have 38.90 inches of headroom and 42 inches of legroom. The back seat will give your passengers 37.30 inches of headroom and 36.10 inches of legroom. You’ll be able to stretch out and get comfortable, and the 47.2 ft3 of cargo space in the hatchback model offers plenty of storage space.

The Malibu interior may be a bit larger, but the roominess is about the same. In the front seat, you and your passenger will have 39.10 inches of headroom and 41.50 inches of legroom. In the rear seat, they’ll be enjoying 37.50 inches of headroom and 38.10 inches of legroom. With 15.7 ft3 of space in the trunk, this vehicle will also be a great road trip vehicle.
