Chevy Colorado Maintenance Schedule

Chevy Colorado

When you buy a new vehicle, the goal is to keep it in great condition for as long as possible. This feat is easily accomplished by keeping up with your suggested maintenance as set forth by the manufacturer. Having your oil changed and your tires rotated on a regular basis will give you many years with your Chevy Colorado in the Indianapolis, Fishers, and Speedway areas.

At Andy Mohr Speedway Chevrolet, not only can we assist you with finding the right Chevy Colorado for your needs, but we can also help after the purchase. With our on-site service center, all of your routine maintenance can be taken care of in one convenient location.

Schedule Service

As a vehicle accrues a certain amount of mileage, it is recommended that it be seen by a professional for specific updates, replacements, and check-ups. If you’re the proud owner of a Chevrolet Colorado, these are the milestones that will be of specific importance to you. Chevy service

  • 7,500 Miles – At this mileage point, it is recommended that you have your oil changed and your tires rotated. From this point on, your Colorado should follow the every 7,500-mile schedule for these two services. This will help your vehicle maintain its engine and tires.
  • 22,500 Miles – Now remember, your vehicle should be seen for services before this milestone if you’re keeping up with proper tire care and whatnot. However, this is the next major point at which the service center will offer different care. Your technician will use this visit to perform the aforementioned services but will also replace your passenger air filter as well. This service is recommended every 22,500 miles from here on out.
  • 37,500 Miles – At this mark, your service professional will perform your regular service as well as replace the fuel filter in your Colorado.
  • 45,000 Miles – This is a big milestone for your Chevy Colorado in terms of your maintenance. Your tech will replace the engine air filter, swap out the transmission fluid and several other fluids including the brake fluid and transfer case fluid. Your car should be seen every 45,000 miles for similar fluid checks after this initial appointment.
  • 97,500 Miles – When your Colorado hits this mileage mark, you’ll need to schedule an appointment to outfit your truck with new spark plugs and new spark plug wires.
  • 150,000 Miles – As you’ve kept up with your regular maintenance, your truck is able to reach this milestone which will require the drainage and refilling of the engine cooling system, as well as a full inspection of the engine and the drive belts. Finally, your technician will replace the timing belts and you’ll be well on your way.
