What are certified used cars? That’s a question you may be asking, because many people aren’t sure what the difference is between a traditional used vehicle and a certified used model. While the short answer is that the certified designation indicates that the manufacturer is in full support of the sale of that vehicle, but there’s a little more to it than that. WHAT ARE CERTIFIED USED CARS? 

Essentially, a certified vehicle offers a different level of peace of mind than that of a traditional pre-owned vehicle. First, a certified vehicle is put through a rigorous multi-point inspection. We use a 172-point checklist to ensure that our certified vehicles meet the requirements set forth by the manufacturer.

Essentially, we look over every operating system associated with your vehicle to ensure that everything is in the proper working order. Our team of certified and factory trained service technicians check each point off their list after it’s been tested for issues.

 

ADDITIONAL WARRANTY

Another facet of buying a certified vehicle is that they often come with a little something extra. More often than not, the manufacturer issues an additional warranty to cover over 500 different parts of your vehicle. Typically, these warranties last for a set number of miles or years, whichever milestone is reached first.

In addition, the powertrain warranty that already exists on the vehicle is easily transferable, so you have the extra surety that the major parts of your car are covered. Only certified pre-owned vehicles offer these additional warranties, as many traditional used vehicles are sold in as-is condition.

Aside from the fact that these vehicles are inspected to ensure that every part is in proper working order, drivers are also able to get roadside assistance packages that cover:
